Who does the alarm call when the SOS button is pressed?

The alarm calls up to 5 telephone numbers of family and friends. It does not call a 24/7 alarm monitoring station. All calls are handled by family and loved ones.

Yes – the alarm is designed for use in the shower. It is strongly recommended in fact. The bathroom is the highest risk place for a fall.

What happens when I press the SOS button, or a fall is detected?

The alarm will call and text the 1 st number stored. If there is no answer within 15 seconds it will call the second number, and so on. It will call through all 5 contacts in sequence. Contact us after ordering if you would like the contacts to be called multiple times if no one answers.

How do I program in the telephone numbers I want it to contact?

By sending text messages to the alarm. Your delivery will include some easy to follow instructions, plus we have US based customer service support should you require additional assistance.

Does it have fall detection?

Yes. The alarm includes fall detection at no additional charge. Fall detection is automatically enabled when you receive your alarm. You have the option to disable it should you choose to.

Does the SIM card come already installed?

Yes – the SureSafe SIM comes pre-installed.

What is the $17.99 per month fee for?

The alarm is like a mini-cell phone. It uses the cell networks to make emergency calls and send ‘help me’ text messages to family members. The $17.99 per month covers the cell service.

Do I set up the subscription for $17.99 when I place my order, or when I receive my device?

When you receive your device. Your delivery will include easy to follow instructions to set up the subscription.

Can I replace the SIM and use my own?

No. The alarm will only work with the SureSafe SIM that comes already installed.

Does it connect to my own cell phone?

No. The alarm is an independent device with its own SIM. It does not connect to your cell phone (you don’t even need to have one).

Do I need to be on AT&T?

No. You can keep your existing cell phone with whichever carrier you currently use.

How It Works

The SureSafeGo can call family and friends in an emergency, helping maintain independent living and give loved ones peace of mind.

The medical alert device works by storing the telephone numbers of your designated contacts. In the event of the wearer pushing the emergency alert button, or a fall is detected, the SureSafeGO will call the first contact on the list. If the contact does not answer, the device will call the second contact on the list and so on. Additionally, the device will send a text message to the contact when the call is attempted. This text message includes a Google Maps link to the location of the medical alert - so you know where help is needed.

When an emergency contact answers the SOS call, two-way communication is then automatically available through the pendant. This means you can speak to your loved one through the pendant to find out what help they need. You then know exactly how to help your loved one, for example calling 911 for them, and you can reassure them that help is on the way. this gives them additional peace of mind.

Additional features include low battery alerts being sent to family and friends, so you can remind your loved one to charge their device. The pendant will also make audible announcements to remind the wearer to charge the medical alert pendant.

You can also request the location of the pendant at any time by sending a simple text message from your cell phone. The alarm will text you back with a Google Maps link.

The SIM card supplied with the alarm cannot be replaced. Only a SureSafe SIM card will work inside a SureSafeGO medical alarm.
